Fifth annual Polar Plunge set for Feb. 13
The Alpha Eta chapter of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity at Ohio Northern University will hold its fifth annual Polar Plunge philanthropy event in the Polar Bear Pond outside the ONU Sports Center on Feb. 13 at 1 p.m.
More than 150 students and members of the community will brave the elements to take the plunge into the frigid waters of Polar Bear Pond. There will be food and drinks at the event, including tasty Kewpee burgers and delicious hot chocolate. All proceeds from the event will benefit the America Red Cross.
Individuals who wish to jump into the frozen pond may donate $10 to take the plunge and receive a free t-shirt. Those who do not wish to jump can still buy a T-shirt for $13 but will miss out on the thrill of the plunge.
