ONU alum photo part of Washington, D.C., Ripley Gallery art exhibit
Think spiders aren't beautiful?
If you’re in the Washington, D.C. area, check out the Smithsonian staff photography exhibit in the Ripley Center art gallery. And be sure to say hello to this spider, a beautiful photograph taken by Ashley Hornish (BFA/graphic design), a 2004 graduate of Ohio Northern University.
Ashley is an exhibition designer at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. She is currently designing the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall, debuting in July 2016.
She recently designed the exhibit graphics for Time and Navigation, a new permanent exhibition at NASM. She has designed other exhibits including Fly Marines! and Spirit & Opportunity: 10 Years Roving Across Mars, and many other graphic design projects.
She also co-teaches an exhibit design class at The George Washington University.
The Ripley Center is one of the buildings of the Smithsonian Institution museums located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Ripley houses offices, an art gallery, and meeting/class rooms as well as exhibition space.
