Ada senior defender Will Allen and junior midfielder Terry Sheridan were voted first team All-North Central Ohio Soccer Association by league coaches recently.
Bulldog junior forward Logan Williams and sophomore forward Chris Reyes were each named second team all-league.
Ada junior Noah Pinkney earned honorable mention all-conference notice.
The Bulldogs finished 3-4 in NCOSA play, and were 7-9-1 overall.
Ryan Turner of Van Buren was named NCOSA Player of the Year while VB's Jeff Swaisgood earned league Coach of the Year honors.
Paul Nutter, associate professor of manufacturing technology and chair of the Department of Technological Studies at Ohio Northern University, received a Distinguished Service Award from the IEOM (Industrial Engineering and Operations Management) Society during its IEOM Detroit Conference in Southfield, Mich., in September. The award recognizes “outstanding achievements and lifelong service as well as outstanding support and service in the industrial engineering and operations management profession.”

As a service project, the brothers of Phi Mu Delta fraternity clear the plants on Oct. 29 from the Village Garden which is run by ReStore so that some people can grow some of their own food.
Families from China and Bangladesh, who now live in Ada, as well as those born and raised here took advantage of the free plots of land this year, according to Karen Ward who has been coordinator of the ReStore project for several years.
The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced this week that University of Dayton linebacker Christopher Beaschler is one of 12 finalists for the 2016 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments.
The trophy, sometimes referred to as "the Academic Heisman," recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation.
One of only six two-time team captains in Dayton history, Beaschler has led the Flyers in tackles the last two seasons and currently has team honors this year with 72 tackles.

On view in the Elzay Gallery of Art until Friday, Nov. 18, is “From Picas to Pixels,” an Ohio Northern University graphic design alumni exhibition.
Curated into the show is the exhibit, “Time and Navigation,” a permanent exhibition that opened in April 2013 at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. Time and Navigation was designed by ONU graduate Ashley (Dally) Hornish (BFA/graphic design with a minor in museum studies, 2004).
