Two Ada seniors recognized at the state level for their art work
Two Ada High School seniors, Alexandra Boyadzhiev and Ben Bowers were recognized this spring for their artistic abilities. Boyadzhiev has two art pieces accepted for inclusion among 300 selected works in this year’s Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition. This year 11,500 pieces were entered in the competition.
Her pieces include:
* Sculpture titled “Noah’s Mistake”
• Ceramics piece titled “Tea Set”
Bowers had one piece accepted for display in a “Cameo Display” in the exhibition. His work will be on display in the governor’s office and the Ohio Department of Education. This exhibit is not open to the public.
On April 17 the two Ada artists will be recognized for their achievement during an awards ceremony at The Riffe Center in downtown Columbus.
The pieces will be on exhibit until May 20.
