You'll soon spring forward - and here's a story about Ada's favorite time piece
Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 13. Move your clocks forward (spring forward) one hour before you go to sleep on Saturday night.
Here's a brief history of the clock in the Railroad Park downtown.
The timepiece was installed in 2003 as part of the village's sesquicentennial celebration.
The community raised $10,000 to have the clock and its digital system made by the Verdin Company, Cincinnati, bell makers since 1842.
The clock is now set on Westminster chimes, striking every 15 minutes, not just on the hour. The chimes strike Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The clock plays "Star Spangled Banner" at 11:55 a.m., as well as "America the Beautiful" at 6:25 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The clock is programmed to play Christmas carols in December and "Old Lang Syne" on New Year's.
