Collection gathers "hundreds of pounds" of unused prescription medications

More than 200 vehicles passed through the Drug Take-back sites in Ada, Forest, and Kenton Saturday morning where volunteers collected hundreds of pounds of unused prescription and over the counter medications for disposal.
The event was a cooperative effort of the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District, Hardin Memorial Hospital, The Hardin County Sheriff's Office, The Forest Police Deptment and the Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy.

Sheriff Everhart said there may be another Medical Disposal Day in Ada in the fall.
