Randall Dirmeyer 1954-2016
Randall E. Randy Dirmeyer, 61, died on Friday, April 29, 2016, at 11:08 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on July 5, 1954, in Allen County to Paul E. and Violet Grace (Kenton) Dirmeyer who preceded him in death. On Sept. 22, 1973 he married Paula C. Asher and she survives in LaFayette.
Randy was a welder at Remlinger Manufacturing in Kalida. He attended Allen East High School. Randy served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from Sept. 1, 1972 through Feb. 22, 1973. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corp. reserves for six years.
He is also survived by a son: Brent (Niki) Dirmeyer of Ada; two daughters: Chrissy (Steven) Black of LaFayette, and Erica (Kyle) Page of Webster, FL; five grandchildren: Logan Page, Morgan Dirmeyer, Trevor Dirmeyer, Weston Page, and Landon Black; three brothers: Robert (Kay) Dirmeyer of Lima; Richard Dirmeyer and Jeff (Connie) Dirmeyer both of LaFayette; one sister: Madonna Lawrence of Alger; and one sister-in-law: Jean Dirmeyer of LaFayette.
Randy was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Dirmeyer; a sister, Rose Marie Mewhorter: a brother-in-law, Marion Lawrence; and a sister-in-law, Donna Dirmeyer.
Funeral services will begin at 11a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Charles Moeller officiating. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, LaFayette. A military graveside service will be performed by the Ada VFW #9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to LaFayette-Jackson Fire Department.
