Helen J. Ellis, 94, died on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 8:30  p.m. at her residence in rural Alger, Ohio.

Helen was born on Oct. 12, 1921, in Delphos, Ohio to Franklin E. and Alma L. (Patton) McGlaughlin who preceded her in death.  She married Thomas R. Ellis on Sept. 14, 1941 and he died on Nov. 12, 2003.

Helen was a homemaker.

Surviving are: one son: Thomas Earl (Rena Scarberry) Ellis of Glouster, Ohio; one daughter: Carol (Dennis Messmer) Tindall of Lancaster, Ohio; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren including two special great grandchildren: Chance Taylor and Helena Taylor of Alger, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by: a son: Steven Craig Ellis; a daughter: Jean Ellis; two brothers: Paul McGlaughlin and James McGlaughlin and a sister: Kathryn Ann VonHagel.

It was her request to be cremated with no visitation or funeral service.
