Kay Varner 1955 - 2016
Kay L. Varner, 60, died at her residence surrounded by her family on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:55 a.m.
She was born on June 18, 1955, in Kenton, Ohio, to Roger and Alice (Gossard) Dysert. Her mother and step father, Melvin Conley preceded her in death. Her father also preceded her in death and her step mother, Charlotte Dysert survives in Alger. She married Donald A. Varner and he survives in Alger.
Kay worked as a case worker for the Allen County Department of Job & Family Services, Lima. She was a member of the Alger Assembly of God Church.
Also surviving are three sons: Kevin Scott Alexander of Elida, Brandon (Erika) Alexander of Alger and Jake Varner of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren; a brother, Kevin (Deb) Dysert of Ada; and sister, Carol Sue Sexton of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Hord.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at the Assembly of God Church at 7050 State Route 235, Alger, Ohio 45812 with Pastor Mark Andreasen officiating.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Assembly of God Church at 7050 State Route 235, Alger, Ohio 45812.
