Students selected to present at ASEE conference
Three Ohio Northern University engineering students have been selected to present at the 123rd American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Annual Conference and Exposition in New Orleans from June 26-29.
Alexandra Seda, a senior electrical engineering major from Columbiana, Ala., Nathan Craft, a senior civil engineering major from West Alexandria, Ohio, and Adam Berry, a junior mechanical engineering major from Brunswick, Ohio, will present on their Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Landscape.
The I&E Landscape is a project completed through the trio’s training as University Innovation Fellows. Their poster is one of 10 University Innovation Fellow campus profiles that demonstrate broad-based and lasting institutional change selected to be shown at the ASEE Entrepreneurship and Engineering Innovation Division reception sponsored by the Kern Family Foundation and the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN).
Berry, Craft and Seda were selected for this opportunity through their work as University Innovation Fellows (UIF), a program created by the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation (Epicenter). UIF is a competitive program with more than 600 Fellows from more than 140 institutions across the U.S. who strive to become change agents at their respective schools and create lasting institutional change.
Since 2015,Ohio Northern University, through the support of KEEN, has sent four students through the University Innovation Fellows program. The support of KEEN will allow ONU Fellows to continue their work with UIF and participate in events on a national scale.
