Booth space and a spot in the Harvest and Herb parade can be yours!
Booth space and parade entries are being accepted for this year’s Ada Area Chamber of Commerce’s 31st annual Harvest and Herb Festival, according to David Dellifield, festival director.
A printer-friendly booth application and booth regulations and requirements are in attachments at the bottom of this story. A parade entry form and parade information sheets are also attachments.
This year’s festival is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, in downtown Ada.
The festival is open to the public with no admission charge. Proceeds are used to promote Ada chamber activities during the year.
As in past years, it will fill Ada’s Main Street from Highland to College. Main Street will be closed at State Route 235 all the way to State Route 81.
The festival has 180 spaces available for vendors. Booths are 12 feet wide by 8 feet deep and are available while they last at $35 each.
New vendors are invited to participate and all questions and request for booth space may be e-mailed to: [email protected].
This year’s schedule
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. booths open on Main Street
9 a.m. – Parade forms at Ada schools
9 a.m. – Ribbon cutting ceremony of renovated caboose in depot park
10 a.m. – Parade through Main Street
Program and entertainment
Noon – National Anthem sung by Haley Crouse, Ada HS grad
Followed by – crowning of 2016 Harvest and Herb Festival queen
1 p.m. – Jim Boedicker and Mike Wright
2 p.m. – The Wild Steelions- steel drum band
3 p.m. – Raegan Cox, America’s Got Talent contestant
Parade details
The parade line-up starts at 9 a.m. at the Ada school. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Junior Weihrauch of Arlington is this year's parade director.
