Three August events have Ada written all over them.
• On Thursday, Aug. 6, Ohio Northern University hosts a new program "Ada Adventure" as a part of its Welcome Weekend with new students.
Throughout the day (from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.) students will walk throughout the downtown area in small groups to explore the village. Ohio Northern University is hoping to point out all of the businesses and opportunities for the new students.
FROM BLUFFTON ICON - After extensive deliberations, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Council of Presidents has unanimously voted to modify the timing of conference competition and championships for fall sports classified by the NCAA as high contact risk (football, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball).

The congregations of St. Mark Lutheran and Sugar Grove United Methodist are working together to provide a free community meal – Last Wednesday Community Meal – from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 29.
The meal is for carryout only and pickups are available at St. Mark, 125 Johnson St., Ada. Social distancing and safety protocol will be observed. The meal will be served for carry-out only at St. Mark Lutheran located at 125 S. Johnson St. Ada.
The menu includes hot dogs or hamburgers, chips, carrots and celery sticks, fruit and a cookie.
Delivers are available in Ada and Liberty Township. Call 419-358-4611 by Monday, July 27, for details.
The Ada police report of Saturday, July 25, states that someone found $454 on Main Street and turned the money over to the police. The report was made at 1:39 p.m. on Saturday.
