ONU football team picked to finish 3rd in OAC

The Ohio Northern football team was selected to finish third in both the coaches poll and media poll at the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Media Day on Tuesday afternoon at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
ONU received 67 points and one first place vote in the coaches poll to finish third and 244 points in the media poll to finish third.
Mount Union was tabbed as the preseason favorite by both the media and coaches, collecting all 30 first place media votes and nine first place votes from the coaches.
John Carroll was picked to finish second in both the media poll and the coaches poll with 69 points in the coaches poll and 251 points in the media poll.
"Our expectations for this season are very high," Ohio Northern head coach Dean Paul said. "We are looking to continue to move forward and build on our positive momentum from last season."
The Polar Bears finished 9-3 overall in 2015 and second in the OAC with a 7-2 record, before bowing out of NCAA III Playoffs in the second round.
