Bikers' Strong will escort Amelia on Sunday; you can participate
A Bikers’ Strong fundraiser and escort for Amelia Griffin takes plan in Ada on Sunday, Sept. 4. The organization is an association of bikers and non-bikers who help fight childhood cancer and to help others.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and starts at the Ada War Memorial Park.
Sponsors of the fundraiser said: “We will escort Amelia and her family out of Ada as she heads to get yet another treatment.”
Bikers will line up at 3 p.m. and the bikes will roll out of Ada between 3:30 and 4 p.m.
There will be a 50/50 drawing and persons do not need to be present to win.
Other activities include lunch, which includes hot dogs, shredded chicken and sloppy joe sandwiches. Cost for sandwiches is by donation.
Donations of canned goods will be accepted. Sponsors said that 100 percent of funds raised and canned goods donated go to Amelia and her family.
