Golf: Ramey fires a 58, Amburgey 59 in tri-match

SPENCERVILLE - The Ada golf team competed in a three-team Northwest Conference event Wednesday.
Host Spencerville won with 165 strokes, followed by Columbus Grove (173) and Ada (252).
Senior Taylor Ramey led Ada with a score of 58, followed closely by sophomore Austin Amburgey with a 59. Nathan Hurtig posted a 66 while Jake Colwell contributed a score of 69.
Robbie Allison carded a 72 and Alex Morgan added a 79.
Gavin Harmon of Spencerville won match medalist with score of 38.
The Bulldogs are 1-23 overall and 0-12 in NWC play. Spencerville improved to 19-7 overall the NWC. Columbus Grove is 14-12 overall and 6-8 in league play.
Ada plays host to league foes Bluffton and Spencerville September 19.
