ONU Chaplain has sermon published in journal designed for campus ministry
The Rev. David MacDonald, Ohio Northern University chaplain, recently published the text of a sermon, “College Faith 101: Be Transformed,” in The Term: A Word for the Campus by the Campus.
The publication is a semi-annual journal produced by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church. It features sermons, reflections, essays and other resources for campus ministry.
The Rev. MacDonald delivered the sermon during an Aug. 23, 2015, chapel service at ONU. This is the second publication that MacDonald has had selected by the general board of the church for publication. In May, his essay on vocational discernment was included in the book The Prophetic Voice and Making Peace.
The Rev. MacDonald, who joined ONU in 2012, earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union, a master’s degree in divinity from Methodist Theological School of Ohio and his doctor of ministry degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill.
