Vickie Ward was a USV EMS paramedic
Vickie Jo Ward, 54, died on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at 11:45 p.m. at her residence in rural Alger.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1962, in Lima, Ohio to Frank and Stella (Rowe) Dyer. Her parents survive in Alger, Ohio. On Jan. 19, 1980 she married Dennis S. Ward and he survives in Alger, Ohio.
Vickie was a Paramedic for the Upper Scioto Valley EMS of Alger, and BKP EMS of Kenton. She was a member of Wake Up The World Ministries in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Surviving are three sons: Jeremy (Jessica) Ward of Oregon City, Oregon, Mitchell (Laura) Ward of Dola, and Corey (Emily) Ward of Ada and one grandson, Greyson Ward. Also surviving are three brothers: Gary (Patty) Dyer of Waynesfield, Dave (Rose) Dyer of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Alan (Dianne) Dyer of Alger.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the benevolence of the family c/o Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Alger, Ohio 45812.
