Volleyball: Bulldogs red hot at Delphos Jefferson

DELPHOS - The red-hot Ada volleyball team won convincingly again in three games at Delphos Jefferson in Northwest Conference play Thursday evening.
It was the fifth consecutive straight-set triumph for the Lady Bulldogs.
The 25-12, 25-14, 25-15 victory upped the Ada record to 8-5 overall and 4-0 in the NWC. DJ fell to 2-10 and 0-4 with the loss.
Junior Melina Woods led Ada with 25 kills, six assists, five digs, seven blocks and one ace. Senior Haley Wyss knocked down 11 kills and served three aces.
Junior Maddie Gossard passed out 24 assists, made five digs and two blocks, and served three aces. Junior libero Olivia Alexander hustled up a dozen digs.
Freshman Sidney Gossard dished out 11 assists and dealt four aces. Nikki Lehsten knocked down four kills and made three blocks.
The Bulldog junior varsity also won 25-16, 25-16 to improve to 9-4.
Ada plays at the eight-team Minster Invitational Saturday.
Boys' soccer: Bulldog boys edged at L-B
FINDLAY - The Ada boys soccer team had its four-match win streak snapped at North Central Ohio Soccer Association foe Liberty-Benton Thursday evening, 2-1.
The loss dropped the Bulldog record to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in NCOSA play.
Terry Sheridan netted the lone Ada goal on an assist from Chris Reyes.
Ada (2-0 Northwest Conference) plays at NWC foe Bluffton September 27.
Girls' tennis: Ada netters fall at Bluffton
BLUFFTON - The Ada girls tennis team lost 4-1 at Bluffton Thursday evening.
The Lady Bulldog netters dropped to 4-9 with the defeat.
Ada hosts Lima Bath Sept. 26 in the final scheduled regular season match for seniors Meredith Marshall and Libbie Milks.
