Registration is Saturday at noon

Beantown Baggers is hosting a cornhole tournaments this year in Ada at the Farmers and Merchants Fair.

Interested individuals should have a two-person team and bring their own bags.

The tournament is double elimination and is being held at Ada War Memorial Park.

Registration will begin at noon on Saturday, Aug. 14. Cost is $30 per team.

The tournament begins at 1 p.m.

Exceptions for personal offices or residence hall spaces

Ohio Northern University has announced that all members of the ONU community will wear masks indoors, if not in a personal office or residence hall space, beginning on Aug. 9.

Due to the level of transmission for Hardin County increasing from moderate (yellow) to substantial (orange), ONU is now requiring those who are vaccinated to wear masks indoors, a change that will be noted in the ONU Safety Plan. Those who are unvaccinated are already required to mask indoors as described in the ONU Safety Plan as well.

Get ready to have a ball! The Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival is resuming this year with festivities planned for Saturday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Organizers from the Village of Ada, Ohio Northern University and the renowned local Wilson Football Factory have fun events planned for guests of all ages. The day's activities will kick off at 11 a.m. at Ohio Northern University's Dial-Roberson Stadium with an ONU football intersquad scrimmage. A Punt, Pass and Kick contest for youth ages 8 to 15 will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the stadium, with registration for four different age groups beginning at noon.

Nine local children were announced as the winners of the Century 21 Sunway Realty coloring contest, according to Tami Waller, secretary.

Noteworthy Community Choir will perform at the Farmers & Merchants Picnic from 1 to 2 p.m. on Aug. 14, and again at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, at Grace Gospel Church in Ada.

From Jeepers Creepers, Million Dreams, God Bless the USA and many more, come enjoy an hour of choral selections, solos and duets! 

SweetNotes, the ladies' division of NCC, will perform several numbers to include Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Girls Rock the 50's.

Since 2018, Noteworthy has served over 40 adults and children through rehearsals and community performances, workshops, and summer camps.
