In December 2020, the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Board of Directors issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to explore affiliation with other organizations in order to assure the secure and vibrant future of MHCO. We are pleased to announce that this week, the Board accepted a proposal and approved a contract for a full Management Agreement with Brethren Retirement Communities in Greenville, Ohio. This management agreement continues a business relationship that began in 2019 with an executive consulting partnership.

Ohio Northern University junior Andrea Hoffman has been appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine '72 to serve a two-year term on the Ohio Rare Disease Advisory Council.

Ada's oldest continually running event, the Farmers and Merchants Picnic, is taking place on Saturday, Aug 14. This is the 108th year for the event.

Entry forms for the parade can be picked up at Century 21 Sunway Realty LLC, 208 N. Main St., Ada.

  • Line up location: West Lincoln Street, Myers East and West parking lot on ONU campus
  • Parade route: From West Lincoln to South Main to College to Simon to North Park

Donald J. Moritz, age 94, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at his daughter's home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 4, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to the late Fay William and Mary Kathryn (Neu) Moritz. On July 14, 1946 Donald married the love of his life, Jean Zimmer. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2009. His love for her never dimmed and was with him through the remainder of his life.
