Jan. 1,1913, the first parcel post package sent from Ada was a roll of fancy assorted papers sold by the Record to a young man who sent them to Pennsylvania. For the first week of the new parcels post the local business in Ada post office was as follows: parcels mailed out, 129: parcels received, 195: parcels for local delivery, 3.
June 1913, tickets for Ada’s first Chautauqua and Summer School will be on sale next Monday at the drug and bookstores for $1.50 for the series of ten, the single admission of which total $3.60: the whole course for $1.50.
