Ethel Dennis 1949 - 2106
Ethel E. Dennis, 66, died on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at the Flint Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center in Newark.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1949 in Fremont, Ohio, to Thomas E. and Caroline (Painter) Cheney who preceded her in death. On Dec. 1, 1973 Ethel married Donald J. Dennis and he died on March 20, 2006.
Ethel was a homemaker. She was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren, Harrod.
She is survived by a son, Thomas (Amy) Dennis of Ada; three daughters: Nicole (Wesley) Geiger of Johnstown, Heather (Steve) Goodwin of Fishers, Ind., and Coralee Gallagher of Delaware; 10 grandchildren: Charlize, Kiera, Danica and Tobias Geiger, Ethan, Dylan and Araya Goodwin, Chloe and Alex Gallagher and Derek Dennis; three brothers: John (Doris) Cheney of Muncie, Ind., Tom Cheney of Alger and Chester (Betty) Cheney of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachariah Geiger.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at County Line Church of the Brethren, 4227 North Hardin Road, Harrod, Ohio 45850 with Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating. Burial will be in the Cheney Family Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to County Line Church of the Brethren, Harrod and/or the Ada Public Library.
