Laura Ferguson puts leadership into action
Each year, the Hardin Leadership Steering Committee takes this opportunity to
highlight someone putting leadership skills into action.
Laura Ferguson from Ada received that special recognition at the Hardin Leadership annual meeting on Nov. 10.
Ferguson is a 2013 Hardin Leadership graduate and was chosen for her dedication and commitment to Hardin Leadership. She joined the Steering Committee at the beginning of 2016 and was a true asset to this year’s program.
She recruited three participants to Hardin Leadership this year and sought funding to help them with their tuition. She took on the planning and conducting of “local government day” and did a great job organizing that day.
In her volunteer life, she is chair for fund raising for Soroptimist International. She is President for the Knitwits. She is County Deputy for Hardin County Granges that is an Ohio State Grange appointed position. She is also is currently president of the board for Restore in Ada.
She is a graduate of Kenton High School and The Ohio State University. She
spent three years in Bangladesh with the Peace Corps followed by working for Save The Children and returned to Hardin County 11 years ago to join the
Ferguson family with The Ferguson Agency and serves as an insurance producer
as a licensed agent.
