Ada resident Julia Shull was a retired teacher
Julia J. "Julie" Shull, 84, was called home to heaven on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 at 6:28 p.m., while she was at the Community Health Professionals Hospice Inpatient Center in Van Wert, Ohio.
Julie was born on Feb. 7, 1932, in Renigunta, Chittoor District, India, to Lutheran missionary parents, William and Lola (Bryson) Fritz who preceded her in death. On Aug. 28, 1955 Julie married Mark Shull and he survives in Ada where the couple lived together for 54 years.
Julie was a retired teacher and a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lima. She was an avid quilter and gardener, and she remained active in a variety of children's ministries for over 40 years.
Julie and Mark have three daughters: Lorraine (Don) Flick of Bowling Green, Sheri (Bob) Worrall of Columbus and Stephanie Shull of Columbus. They also have five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Julie's brother Paul (Peggy) Fritz of Toledo survives her.
She was preceded in death by her older brother Ted Fritz previously of Columbus.
A funeral worship will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1300 Edgewood Drive, Lima, with Rev. Kent Wilson officiating.
Family and friends may gather at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service to share memories and well-wishes.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hogar Miguel Magone Foster Home (Guatemala) via Carmen Lopez Cepero, [email protected] and/or Zion Lutheran Church (Lima) and/or Community Health Professionals of Ada-Hospice.
