MEDIA RELEASE__The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry urges Ohioans to take precautions and follow the state’s outdoor burning regulations if they plan to burn debris. Ohio law dictates that outdoor burning is prohibited in unincorporated areas from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during October and November. ODNR encourages anyone burning to take protective actions and be safe, even outside of the restricted hours.

Nancy S. Matson, age 70, of Dola, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born on May 18, 1956, in Findlay, Ohio, to Carl and Jean (Hines) Southward. On August 20, 1977, Nancy married Thomas K. Matson, and he survives in Dola.
FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Public Library has once again partnered with Project Linus, a non profit that gives blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children.
Donations of new, handmade, washable blankets may be dropped off at the library during regular business hours. Project Linus welcomes blankets of all sizes and styles, but asks that they are kept free from smoke, pet hair and strong fragrances.
MEDIA RELEASE__Ohio State University Extension in Hardin County has officially relocated. The new office is open to the public at 950 W. Kohler St. in Kenton.
The Extension office is now in the same building as Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District, providing a convenient location for residents and community partners.
