Girls currently in second, third, fourth and fifth grades interested in volleyball may participate in a fundamental skills camp in May.

Registration is due on Wednesday, April 17. The camp is held from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, Thursday, May 9, Tuesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 16, in the K-12 gym.

Members of the varsity volleyball team will serve as coaches. More information is on the form below

The Alger Junior Farmers 4-H club met recently and their minutes follow:

Skyler Brown lead us in the pledge of allegiance. Macain Underwood leds us in the 4-H pledge. The club voted to make this year's t-shirts, using design #1, in the color black. The community service project will be a canned food drive. Weston Decker motioned adjoinment, and Conner Scot second it. 

Blanchard Valley Medical Practices, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, recently welcomed Maria Slack, MD, to ENT & Allergy Specialists of Northwest Ohio. The office is located at 1110 W. Main Cross St., Findlay, and Dr. Slack is welcoming new patients. She specializes in treating allergies in both pediatric and adult patients and has completed extensive research in allergy and immunology.

An impressive 12 Ohio Northern senior student/athletes were named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society for 2019.

The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. An all-time high of 1,661 players from a record 426 schools qualified for membership in the society's 13th year.

Jan, 7 - Dennis Garbrecht, handicapped ramp, 302 E. North Ave.
Jan. 17 - Christopher Short, duplex, 931 S. Main St., estimated at $20,000
Feb. 22 - Joe Campbell, 515 N. Liberty St., storage shed
March 11 - Deb Curlis, 811 S. Johnson St., fence

Harnishfeger said that in 2018 Ada had 56 building permits totalling $27,714,407. That figure included the Ohio Northern University engineering building, estimated at $25,000,000. Not counting that permit, the 2018 total was $2,714,407.
