Conley sets record as Bulldogs lose at Musketeers

FT. JENNINGS - Despite a record-setting performance, the Ada boys basketball team fell 77-51 at Fort Jennings Tuesday night in a non-league bout.
Bulldog senior Owen Conley knocked down a school-record seven three-point field goals and tallied 25 points in the defeat, which dropped Ada to 2-4.
Meanwhile, FJ improved to 4-5 with the victory.
Ethan Swaney was the only other Bulldog in double figures with 11 points. Musketeer Brandon Wehri tallied 34 points to top all scorers, and sank four triples. Ian FInn added 17 points in the strength of three treys for FJ.
FJ jumped to a 25-15 lead after one period and led 36-27 at the half. The hosts then put the game away with a 19-9 third quarter.
The Musketeers canned 32 field goals to 15 by Ada. The Bulldogs made twice as many foul shots (12-6) and hit on nine trifectas to seven by the hosts.

Ada (0-1 NWC) plays at Crestview (4-2, 1-0 NWC) in a league battle Friday night. The Bulldogs (0-1 away) then visit New Knoxville (3-3) Saturday evening in their first road game since the season opener, a win at Ridgemont.
Ada also visits Perry (5-3) Tuesday, January 10 in a makeup bout.
