Ada phone scam goes after elderly residents
An Ada Icon viewer alerted the Icon of a telephone scam underway in Ada today.
The viewer said that someone called an elderly Ada resident and claimed to be the resident's grandchild.
Once the phone conversation began the caller claimed to be in trouble and in need of immediate money.
The Icon is alerting residents of this scam and to be wary of it. The Ada police department is aware of the scam.
