The award was presented to a full house of friends and acquaintances at the 11th annual membership meeting and award ceremony of the Hardin County Chamber Business and Alliance.
The dinner meeting was in McIntosh Center Feb. 23.
Curlis joins an impressive list of previous recipients going back to 1967. Last year’s recipient was John Hahn, retiring Hardin chamber director.
Curlis, marketing director of Community Health Professionals, recently retired as president of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce after a successful four-year run. During that time she succeeded in her goal of filling empty storefronts in Ada.
Other awards presented on Feb. 23 included:
• Community Service Award to OSU Extension Master Gardeners Volunteer Program
• Business of the Year Award to Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative
• Small Business of the Year to Iron Fit Gym
• Women LEAD and Professional Excellence Award to Christina Cross
