Women's track now 5th nationally
The Ohio Northern women's track and field team surged into the top-5 in the weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association power rankings.
This marks the highest that the Polar Bears (44-8 overall) have ever ranked nationally.
Northern received 93.12 points in the power ranking.
MIT held the top spot with 124.80 points, while Ithaca (N.Y.) climbed to No.2 with 110.57 points and Washington (Mo.) dropped to No. 3 with 109.47 points.
Northern returns to the track Saturday as they travel to Alliance to compete in the Mount Union Raider Tune Up meet with events beginning at noon.
