Jane Cockerell was a Liberty National Bank vice president
L. Jane Cockerell, 80, died on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 12:41a.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born on May 26, 1936, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to T.J. and Myrtle (Wright) Holbrook, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 21, 1954, Jane married Elmer “Bud” Cockerell and he died on Aug. 13, 2003.
Jane retired in 1986 after 25 year from Liberty National Bank of Ada where she was a cashier and vice president. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Kenton. She was a former member of the Hix-N-Chix of Maysville.
She is survived by a sister: Kathleen Carothers of Kenton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Danny (Nancy) Cockerell of Florida; two nephews: Larry Spradlin of Upper Sandusky, and Todd Cockerell of Dayton; five nieces: Sherry (Dennis) Wilson of Belle Center, Robin (Rick) Siegenthaler of Ada, Charmaine Spradlin of Ada, Kathy Smith of Dunkirk, and Shannon Cockerell of Alger; six great nephews: Terry (Kim) Hildrith of Johnsville, Cory (Sabrina) Hildrith of Mt. Vernon, Raymond (LeAnn) Pryor of Ada, David Pryor of Dunkirk, Brian Harp of Grant, and Jake (Amanda) Spradlin of Waynesfield; six great nieces: Lorie Hastings of Ada, Heather (Michael) Blackburn of Ada, Rachel (Dustin) Spradlin of Kenton, Jessie Spradlin of Ada, Kristin Spradlin of Ada, and Kelly Slone of Ada; and her cousins and caregivers: Judy Prater and Iretta Wright both of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Bonnie Spradlin; a nephew: Rick Spradlin; a niece: Lorna Pryor; and a great niece: Rebecca Spradlin.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, at Faith Baptist Church, 402 East Forest Road, Kenton, with Pastor David Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday, March 9, at Faith Baptist Church, Kenton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blanchard Place Activities Fund and/or Faith Baptist Church of Kenton
