Molinaro named All-American
NAPERVILLE, Ill.— Junior Matt Molinaro(Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLasalle) was named an All-American and National Runner Up in the 800-meter run as he competed on Day 2 of the NCAA Div. III National Championships at North Central (Ill.) College on Saturday afternoon.
Molinaro qualified for Saturday's finals with the fastest time heading into the second day.
The junior finished second and earned All-America honors in a personal best time of 1:51.53.
Softball wins 2
ADA -- The Ohio Northern softball team wrapped up its Spring Break trip with a pair of pitching duel victories on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (11-1 overall) began the day with a 4-2 victory in 8-innings over Catholic (D.C.), then edged Bethany (W.Va.) 1-0 to finish the afternoon.
Men's lacrosse beats Hanover
ADA — A balanced attack and a stingy defensive performance led the Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team to a 6-1 victory over Hanover (ind.) on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 2-3 on the season, while the Panterhs fall to 1-4.
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The Ohio Northern baseball team ended its annual Spring Break trip with a double header split against WPI in Winter Haven, Fla. on Saturday afternoon at Chain of Lakes Park.
The Polar Bears move to 6-4 overall, while the Engineers move to 6-4 overall
