Jean E. Woodruff Eibling retired after 25 years an ONU's RN
Jean E. Woodruff Eibling, age 79, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 12:40 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
She was born on June 12, 1937 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Orville Dean and Mary Evelyn (Kinley) Wisner who preceded her in death. On October 2, 1960 she married Robert L. Woodruff, they were married for 34 years, he died on July 1, 1994. Jean later married Lloyd H. Eibling, they were married for 12 years, he died on August 10, 2010.
Jean previously worked for several doctors, retiring after 25 years as a Registered Nurse at Ohio Northern University Health Center in Ada. She was a graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing, Columbus. Jean was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada and a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group. Since 1994 Jean has served as a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System. She became a life member of the hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons: Dr. David L. (Margie) Woodruff of Bluffton and Tim (Carrie) Woodruff of Ada; two daughters: Marlene (Ted) Vermillion of Dunkirk and Julie (Terry) Robinson of Ada; a step daughter, Beth (Paul) Langridge of Lima; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Corbin Vermillion; a step son, Scott Eibling; a brother, Ronald Wisner; and a sister, Judy Wisner.
Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m.on Saturday, April 29 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Courtnie Morton officiating. Burial will be in McElroy Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Ada and /or St. Jude’s Research Hospital Memphis, TN.
