Men's lacrosse first in OAC
The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team ran its winning streak to eight games and stayed atop the Ohio Athletic Conference standings with a 17-3 victory over Heidelberg on Wednesday night at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears are 9-3 overall and are in first place in the OAC with a perfect 4-0 record, while the Student Princes fall to 3-8, 0-3 in their first year as a varsity program.
Northern scored the first 13 goals of the game and held HU scoreless for more than 37 minutes.
Sophomore Anthony Pavone (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) and freshman Cameron Marous (Brecksville) each had six points to lead the balanced ONU attack

Women's lacrosse sets record
The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team had a record-setting effort in an 18-4 victory at Heidelberg Wednesday night.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-9 overall and are 2-2 in Ohio Athletic Conference action, while the Student Princes fall to 0-8, 0-3 in their first season as a varsity program.
Freshman Rachel Shipman (Noblesville, Ind.) set school records with 10 points and five assists to lead Ohio Northern.
Shipman also added five goals and freshman Betsy Naugle (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) scored a career-high six goals.
Freshman Elizabeth Carter (Lebanon) also had a hat trick with three goals.
ONU also set team records with 18 goals, nine assists and 27 points.
