March is National Nutrition Month and this year’s theme is “Eat Right, Bite by Bite.” Sometimes it can be overwhelming with what to do first when you want to change your eating habits.
Simply start by trying to eat more variety. You can focus on one food group at a time. For example, think about some different vegetables or fruits you’ve never tried before.
Try to pick out vegetables and fruits that are in season to get the best flavor and the lowest cost.
Ada Community:
We write not to direct an outcome, but to ensure a balanced perspective. Ada Schools has a levy set for our vote this March. However, it is out opinion that the approach to this levy has thus far proven concerning. The levy is being placed on the ballot as a “continuous renewal”. This means that the tax is essentially permanent.
Through an Ohio Alerts message today Ada schools have created a survey for parents related to continuation of free breakfast and lunches to school children off the school campus. The survey regards meals over the next three weeks.
In preparation for that decision and to help with planning, the school asks families to complete the survey as soon as possible.
The school asks that the only persons to complete the survey are those needing meals or are willing to assist if needed.
Ada High School students cleaned out their lockers when school ended today. A new, never-tried learning experience will take place in Ada and in all school in Ohio until at least early April. Students in public and private schools will visit their classrooms from home as Gov. Mike DeWine announced that schools will be closed due to COVID-19 crisis. (Bel Mancuso photo)
