Highest national ranking ever for ONU women's track and field
The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team is ranked the highest it has ever been ranked in the fifth weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association power rankings, released Tuesday, May 2.
The Polar Bears (78-4 overall) received 82.57 points in the rankings and are ranked No. 8 in the rankings.
Washington (Mo.) held the top spot with 204.74 points, while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Cal.) came in second with 124.57 points and Williams (Mass.) rounded out the top-3 with 118.44 points.
Northern is coming off of a dominating first place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships where they won the title for the first time in seven years.
The Polar Bears return to action May 11-12 as they compete at the North Central (Ill.) Keeler Invitational.
