Dennis M Clark 1948 - 2017
Dennis M. Clark, age 68, formerly of Ada, Ohio died on Friday, June 16, 2017 at his residence in Bartow, Florida.
He was born on September 20, 1948 in Kenton, Ohio to Wilber Eugene “Gene” and Frances Mary (Ford) Clark. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ada.
Denny graduated from Ada High School class of 1966, he then studied at the Ohio State University and Oklahoma City Community College. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service working in Marysville and then retiring after 30 years in Bartow, Florida. He was a member of the Bartow Baptist Church in Bartow, Florida. He enjoyed watching baseball, going golfing and fishing with his dad on the boat. He served as a baseball and softball coach, and a radio sportscaster and sports journalists at WWBF Thornburg Communications. He also worked as a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Denny liked to visit his mother, his family, grandchildren and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters: Amy (Mike) Forrest of York, PA and Wendy (Mike) Plybon of Norton; 4 grandchildren: Kevin Forrest, Colin Forrest, Austin Plybon and Carter Plybon; two brothers: Gary (Shirley) Clark of Sebring, FL and Randy (Emma) Clark of Ada; four nephews: Heath (Angie) Clark, Brian (Julie) Clark, Todd Clark and Greg Clark; two nieces: Kelly (Shane) Wright and Kristin (Basil) Dean; and a host of great nieces and nephews; and multiple good friends.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor David Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
