By Monty Siekerman
Cassie Collins (left) is Ada Pool manager this year while Kathy Stuart is assistant manager. Both ladies served as assistant managers last year and are former members of the Ada Gators swim team.
The pool will be open every day from 1-8 p.m., except on Wednesdays when it will close an hour early for Zumba aqua swim led by Lynne Scott again this year. Zumba aquaswim will also be held from noon-1 p.m. on Saturdays beginning June 10.
There is also lap swim on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for adults and toddlers for $1.
Night swim will be held from 8 p.m-midnight on Tuesdays beginning this week. The cost is $3, with those 3 and under admitted free.
Early bird pricing of season passes is $45 per person until June 11. After that time the price is $55. Ada taxpayers receive a $10 discount on all passes.
The swim team practices from 8-11 a.m. Monday through Friday. Home meets for the Ada Gators start at 6 p.m. beginning June 8 and will continue every Thursday through July 6.
Sandy Neely again will direct the swim lessons which begin July 17.
The pool is a busy place for general swimming and with many special activities.
