Two very deserving brothers
Brothers, Kent M. Everhart and Keith A. Everhart, were inducted into the Ada High School Alumni Association Hall of Honor on June 3 during the alumni banquet.
Kent Everhart
Kent Everhart, a 1987 graduate, was active in football, baseball and Future Farmers of America (FFA) during high school.
After graduation, he served four years in the United State Air Force and then attended Ohio Northern University.
Kent and his wife, Dee (Wolber) also of Ada, established Everhart Trucking in 2000, which was named Business of the Year by Ada Chamber of Commerce in 2012.
Kent contributes to many local charities and enjoys giving back to Ada schools in many ways, most notably as assistant football coach.
Kent is also an active supporter of Ada Athletic Boosters and Ada Academic Boosters. Kent and Dee have two sons. Austin is a 2011 graduate of Ada High School, and Aaron, who will graduate from AHS in 2018. They are members of Liberty Baptist Church.
Keith Everhart
While in high school, Sheriff Keith Everhart, a 1990 graduate, was active in Student Council, football and FFA.
After graduation, he attended the police academy and became employed by Hardin County Sheriff in 1993. Keith was elected Sheriff in 2009 as the youngest and the first Hardin County Sheriff to come from Ada. He has recently been elected for his third term in office. While Sheriff, he has instituted many new programs for the county including the Hardin County Sheriff’s Academy.
Keith is active on the Governor’s Standard Car-Marking and Uniform Commission and the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association. He takes pride in his work with all the Hardin County schools and organizations including Ada Lions Club.
Keith and his wife Tammy have one son, Cort, who is a 2015 graduate of Ada High School. They are members of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
The Ada High School Alumni Association developed the Hall of Honor to recognize the achievements of the Ada High School graduates and non-graduates who have made significant contributions within their career, community, and to the Ada Exempted Village Schools.
Everhart parents
The Everhart brothers were born to Donald and Deryl (VanAtta). After Donald’s sudden passing in 1977, Deryl remarried Norm Fleming.
