Women's Hoops set open 2017-18 season at North Park Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 17-18
The Ohio Northern women's basketball team is set to open its 2017-18 season on Nov. 17-18 at the North Park Tip-Off Tournament under the guidance of 17th-year head coach Michele Durand.
The Polar Bears will open the season against area-rival Bluffton on Nov. 17 at 7:30 pm at the North Park Tip-Off Tournament.
Northern will also compete on Nov. 18, with the opponent to be announced at a later date.
After traveling to Defiance on Nov. 21 and Ohio Wesleyan on Nov. 25, ONU will open its home schedule as it plays host to Case Western Reserve on Nov. 29 at 5:30 pm.
Northern will continue its home stand and open the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of the schedule as it takes on Capital at the ONU Sports Center on Dec. 2 at 3 pm.
The Polar Bears will then travel to OAC-foes Wilmington on Dec. 6 and Mount Union on Dec. 9.
After a home contest with John Carroll on Dec. 16, ONU will travel to Springfield from Dec. 29-30 to compete in the Wittenberg Tournament.
Ohio Northern will open the new year on Jan. 3 as they travel to Westerville to take on Otterbein at 7:30 pm.
Northern returns home on Jan. 6 and 10 as they take on Marietta and Baldwin Wallace, respectively.
After the 2-game home stint, Northern will be on the road at Muskingum on Jan. 13and Heidelberg on Jan. 17.
The rest of the January schedule will feature home contests with Mount Union on Jan. 20 and Wilmington on Jan. 24 before Northern concludes the month with road bouts at Capital on Jan. 27 and Baldwin Wallace on Jan. 31.
Northern will host its annual Alumni Game prior to a Feb. 3 matchup at the ONU Sports Center with Muskingum at 3 pm.
Heidelberg will visit Ada on Feb. 7 to take on the Polar Bears at 7:30 pm before Northern travels to John Carroll on Feb. 10.
Ohio Northern will celebrate Senior Night on Feb. 14 as they host Otterbein at 7:30 pm.
ONU will conclude the regular season on Feb. 17 at Marietta at 3 pm.
The OAC Tournament is slated for Feb. 19-24 at the the higher seeded team's venue.
