Nothing like a new coat of blacktop. Here's a summer paving project at The Inn at ONU.

A public hearing is set for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the Ada council chambers to hear  a zoning change request for a proposed nursing home in Ada.

The request is to rezone property to Commercial I.

The property is located on the north side of State Route 81 across from the Ada Schools.

Some of the information about the proposed nursing home was shared at the June Ada CIC meeting.

At that meeting it was announced that the proposal is to construct an 80-bed facility with 32 assisted living rooms on an 18.5-acre site. The facility would include 55,000 square-feet of space on one floor.

Have you ever wondered whose statue it is on the ONU campus, just off Main Street? It's Dr. Henry Solomon Lehr, founder of what is today Ohio Northern Unversity. The statue was erected in 2007. Earlier this month the Ada Icon posted a story on Kim Light and the Cloverbud 4-H Club.
