Freshmen Hoang Do and Vinh Thai lead men's tennis

OBERLIN — Freshmen Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) and Vinh Thai (Galloway/St. Charles) led the Ohio Northern men's tennis team as it competed in the first day of the Oberlin Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Do and Thai teamed up in doubles play to take down a duo from John Carroll, 8-5 to lead ONU on the afternoon.
Junior Tim Kargl (Downers Grove, Ill./South) and sophomore Andrew Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) fell in doubles play in a hard-fought 8-5 decision against John Carroll on court No. 16.
The Polar Bears return to action on Sunday as they compete in the second day of the Oberlin tournament in the singles play portion of the tournament.
