Joyce Elaine Cupples, 1943 - 2017
Joyce Elaine Cupples, 74, was welcomed home by God on September 27, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Monticello, WI after a 2 year battle with metastatic ovarian cancer.
Joyce was born on Feburary 12, 1943 in Bluffton to the late Grant Wayne and Pauline Mae (Badertscher) Zimmerman.
She was proceded in death by her husband John Fox, of Ada, Ohio and was married to Robert Cupples on August 7th, 2010.
Joyce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Joyce was employed as an administrative assistant at Ohio Northern University and at the Ada First United Methodist Church, where she was a devoted member. After retirement, Joyce volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She loved traveling with Bob to visit family and friends, particularly to enjoy her grandchildren. She was a 1961 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Joyce is also survived by two daughters, Jeana Gillaspie of Monticello, WI and JoEllen (Matthew) Redshaw of McCordsville, IN; two step-daughters Natalie (Mark) Pickering of Johnson City, TN and Nicole (Tien Bui) Cupples of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Karen (Vernon) Hall of Marion; and a brother, Gary (Deborah) Zimmerman of Altamonte Spring, FL.
Joyce has seven beautiful grandchildren: Laura, Delenn, and Gossard Gillaspie, Cooper and Sydney Redshaw and Seilah and Carston Pickering.
A Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, at the First United Methodist Church of Ada at 301 North Main Street, Ada, Ohio with Pastor Brandi Grant-Rigsby officiating.
Inurnment of ashes will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions can be made to Ada First United Methodist Church or donor's choice.
