ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 18-24.
The sophomore earned the honor for the first time in her career.
Grierson, the 2016 OAC Goalkeeper of the Year, led Northern to a perfect 3-0-0 week.
The sophomore tallied three saves during the week, and extended her shutout streak to seven straight games, including five straight shutout victories.
Her 13 career shutouts currently rank seventh all-time at ONU.
Grierson and the Polar Bear defense has not allowed a goal in the last 708:36 minutes.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday afternoon as it hosts Mount Union and opens OAC-play at Kerscher Stadium at 5 pm.
