Women's Soccer plays to 0-0 draw with No. 22-ranked Carnegie Mellon (Pa.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team showed another strong defensive effort as it played to a 0-0 draw with No.22-ranked Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) on Saturday evening at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears move to move to 2-1-1 overall, while the Tartans move to 3-0-1.
Defense was yet again a strong point for Northern as it held the No. 22-ranked Tartans in check for 110 minutes.
Sophomore goalkeeper Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) led the way for Northern in the contest as she recorded seven saves.
After being shutout 9-0 in shots in the first half, Northern would get two shots in the second half to put pressure on the CMU defense.
The Tartans won the corner kick battle by a 4-2 margin.
Northern will return to action on Wednesday evening at 4:30 as it hosts Denison in the first contest of a double-header with the ONU men's soccer team.
