20th annual Festival of Trees bigger than ever
By Monty Siekerman
This year's Festival of Trees at Community Health Professionals is set for 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday-Friday, Nov. 12-17.
Many decorated trees, wreaths, and holiday decor items will be up for bid. Proceeds benefit CHP hospice program.
The 20th annual Festival of Trees has several events planned in addition to the auction items.
Here's the schedule:
• Sunday, Nov. 12, Appreciation party from 1-3 p.m. and Grab and Go wreaths for only $5.
• Monday, Santa and kids shopping event, 5-6 p.m. when children can shop for gifts for $1.
• Tuesday, Christmas bingo, 2 p.m.
• Wednesday, Holiday cookie contest, 5:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Nursing home visits, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
• Friday, Pizza party, 5 p.m. Closing bids, 6 p.m. Pick ups between 6-8 p.m.
• Saturday, Final pick ups, 9 a.m. until noon.
October in Ada has been three degrees warmer than last year, but the recent chill should get Ada Icon readers in the mood for the next holiday. Christmas is just around the corner.
As the Chamber of Commerce says, "Buy Local" and, in doing so, readers are supporting an effective hospice program in the community.
