Anthem MRIs and CT scan announcement does not affect BVHS
Blanchard Valley Hospital, Bluffton Hospital and EasternWoods Outpatient Diagnostic Center will not be affected by the recent Anthem announcement to limit health insurance coverage of high end radiology services in the hospital outpatient setting.
High end radiology services include computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
This recent announcement may affect certain areas of Ohio, but will not affect Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) or its facilities.
BVHS will continue to provide high end radiology services to all Anthem enrollees on an outpatient basis, as well as for inpatients.
“Anthem will continue to cover both inpatient and outpatient MRI and CT scans at all of our MRI and CT scan locations. We will continue to provide these services with our state-of-the-art equipment to Anthem outpatients, to meet the needs of our patients and physicians for high quality images, timely results and coordinated care,” shared Chris Keller, vice president of clinical services.
“We want to make sure that everyone understands that the Anthem announcement will not affect our services. It is business as usual.”
