Linda L. Vermillion, 1944 - 2017
Linda L. Vermillion, age 73, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 12:15 p.m. at her residence in Ada.
She was born on April 6, 1944 in Hardin County, Ohio to Otas W. and Annabelle M.(Smith) Reese, who preceded her in death.
On June 1, 1963, she married Thomas J. Vermillion and he survives in Ada.
Linda retired as a cook from Ada Schools.
She formerly worked as a dispatcher for the Ada Police Department and as a cook at the Ada Kentucky Fried Chicken.
She was a 1962 graduate of McGuffey High School and then received her beautician's license from Fredrick's Beauty College in Lima.
She volunteered for many years at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the former Liberty Grange of Ada.
Linda was a member of the Grace Gospel Church of Ada where she was the organist for several years.
She is also survived by two sons: Keith (Trudi) Vermillion of Ada and Jeffrey Vermillion of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a daughter: Beth (Chad) Walker of Kingsville, TX; two brothers: Dan (Cheryl) Reese of Ada and Dennis "Pete" (Sue) Reese of Ada; five grandchildren: Steven Vermillion, Joseph "Joey" Vermillion, Kimberly Walker, Samuel Walker, and Savannah Walker; and two great-grandchildren: Leon Diaz and Lana Walker.
Linda was preceded in death by a daughter, Kendra Kay Vermillion, and a brother, David Reese.
Memorial services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, at Grace Gospel Church, 321 North Gilbert Street, Ada, OH 45810 with Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, at Grace Gospel Church, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Gospel Church of Ada.
