Connie Fleming - a mentor to many; active in countless Ada projects

Connie Fleming was named Distinguished Citizen of the Year at the 52nd Town and Gown banquet on Monday evening attended by about 200 people in McIntosh Center ballroom.
Connie is president of the Ada Library board which is now under going an $800,000 renovation and expansion.

She has been active in the Ada First United Methodist Church for many years and currently is chair of the financial committee.
Today, she arrived at the Ada voting precincts at CHP at 5:30 a.m. to be a poll worker. She is chair of the school renewal levy, which is being voted upon today.
She is an officer of the Ada chapter of Philanthropic Educational Organization, which provides academic scholarships for women.
She and her husband, Don, who is retired from Mid Ohio Energy, have been long time supporters of the Freed Center.
Connie has dedicated herself to working behind the scenes and has served as a mentor to many individuals.
During the evening, Lydia Smith of Ada provided music, Chamber President David Dellifield gave the welcome, Mayor David Retterer gave greetings from the town, and ONU President Daniel DiBiasio gave greetings from the gown.
Chris Burns-DiBiasio recognized former recipients of the award and presented this year's recipient with her award.
New members of the Ada Schools and ONU were recognized, as well as new businesses and business owners in the village.
