Wednesday’s chamber members, treated to a Sodexo breakfast, had a Social Media 101 presentation by Shelbi Kauffman, Sodexo ONU marketing director.
Several points Kauffman emphasized included:
• do research to decide what is your target market
• research social media platforms to decide which medias to use
• using strong graphics help your brand
Referring to ONU’s Sodexo social media approach, Kauffman said that her focus to reach ONU students is through Twitter and Instagram.
“I see the effectiveness of social media because I see a lot of responses on social media - students are always on their phones,” she said.
